Salima’s father is Caligola, a son of Veinard al Maury, that raced 6 time in Italy and win, for a total prize money of more than 22,000 Euro.
He has produced a lot of offspring over the past decade, 66 of his progeny had been taken part in italian flat races, and 37 of them had been accumulated together nearly 600,000 Euros in prize money.
Caligola’s mother, Elmas, is considered one of the best broodmare born in Sardinia. Only in Italy 12 of 14 offsprings of Elmas had win more than 450,000 euro (the most noteworthy are: Filindeu, Bonorvesu and Thaora), without counting the winning palmares of Ultra Carrere, which sire is Rubis de Carrere. She had been raced in the UAE with excellence results.
Actually the best son of Caligola in international flat races is Urge di Gallura, five time raced and five time winner.
About the female bloodline of Salima Suelzu
The female linebreeding is mainly from polish blood lineages used in flat races and in endurance courses too. The mother is sister of Orfeo baio, a horse that is racing in France and finished recently a 120 km. By the grandfather Achnatons, 7 of his offspring have been raced in endurance and 3 of them token part of courses over 100 km, with good placements and also some high speed performance.

In this moment (july 2016) in the italian database called “enduranceonline” , by the father Caligola, registered 39 sport horses, which many are still young of age and other 8 have already a race in a CEI ** and CEI *** category. Especially relevant is that in dubai stables there are four of them, and another performer had been raced in 2016 in one of the most prestigious 160 km of UEA: the President Cup.
About Salima qualities
Salima is a quite high horses an quite fast. She still very young in training to give a complete impartial opinion about, because she needs already to be totally trusty in his rider for working well, and when it work she feels very good. She is still young and needs still more experience. Salima has also powerful movements and a good canter.
