Stallions

As they do for mares, Veltenesi’s breeder make choose carefully their stallions, using more or less the same ideas and principles. As always in this field, blood is something to look for as first. The performances of the ancestors have higth importance as much as the horse individual structure and movement and running power. But also, for this     breeder, a good evaluation of the attitude can make the difference.

“For the choice of the stallion we value their performance in sport, as much as the sport results of their relatives and offsprings. And of course, we like well structured bodies, with strong and powerful muscles. Power is something highly desiderable in this sport, often linked with resistance.  But also we think a stallion need a balanced attitude and cold character,  a good temperament and heart. And least but not last we analyse carefully charts and results of international endurance and flat races.”
